How do I get a prototyping/manufacturing quote?

Kusla offers you immediate pricing and estimated lead times for your tailored parts. Obtaining a quote and DFM (Design for Manufacturability) insights from our sales team is straightforward through two convenient options:
1. Upload your 3D CAD files on our ‘Request a Quote’ page.
2. Email your 3D CAD files directly to info@kusla-tech.com.
We strive to provide a quotation within 24 business hours of receiving your RFQ. If there is any delay in our response, rest assured, we will inform you at the earliest opportunity.

Who is responsible for my project?

At Kusla, every project is personally overseen by a dedicated technical sales manager and a lead project engineer. They provide expert guidance and support from the inception of your project through to the successful delivery of your parts.

How do I know my design will be kept confidential?(Non-Disclosure Agreements)

Kusla takes pride in our longstanding reputation for handling hundreds of thousands of unique designs with the utmost discretion over the years. We maintain strict confidentiality regarding our clients’ information and adhere to a rigorous policy within our manufacturing facilities. For your added assurance, we are more than willing to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) upon request.

What are Kusla’s shipping terms?

Kusla operates on Ex Works (EXW) terms for both rapid prototyping and standard production orders, indicating that customers assume responsibility for shipping, customs clearance, and related fees starting from the moment the goods depart our facility. Additionally, we provide Delivery At Place (DAP) via DHL Express air freight, where customers are liable for import duties and other international shipping fees. Clients have the option to utilize their own shipping accounts with carriers such as DHL, FedEx, or UPS, if preferred, during the checkout process.

How much import duty will I need to pay for my goods?

The question at hand doesn’t have a one-size-fits-all answer, but there are general guidelines to consider. For our customers in the USA, prototypes intended solely for development, testing, product evaluation, or quality control may qualify for a Most-Favored-Nation (MFN) duty rate, allowing for duty-free importation (US HTS Number: 9817.85.01.). However, import duties can significantly differ from one country to another, based on the nature of the goods being imported. The majority of the world’s countries adhere to the international Harmonized System (HS) of codes, which classifies nearly all goods involved in commercial trade.

How quickly can I get my parts?

The prototyping process varies based on the size of the part, the quantity needed, and the specific finishing requirements. High-quality prototypes can typically be completed within 1 to 8 business days. Rapid injection molding projects may range from 1 to 5 weeks for fulfillment. Parts with increased complexity or special features may require additional time. Regarding shipping, the majority of our deliveries are made by air freight, which generally takes just a few days to reach destinations in Europe or North America from China.

How can I pay Kusla?

Kusla accepts payment in two ways: Bank to bank wire transfer. Kusla has accounts in Hong Kong and ShenZhen, China. Kusla can send you a PayPal invoice and you can use your PayPal account or credit card to pay.

Can my company get credit with Kusla?

Unless specified otherwise, we require advance payment from all new rapid prototyping clients. After establishing a successful working relationship, we may offer a 30-day credit term based on the order volume. For tooling orders, a 50% deposit is standard, regardless of credit status, with the remaining balance typically due following the approval of the T1 samples. However, we are open to discussing flexible terms tailored to each customer’s unique situation.
